The people behind Loans Halifax are reached by email, at the address in the footer, and we answer on weekdays, usually within a day or two. A loan you hold is a matter for the lender named on your agreement, and a complaint about a permitted lender's conduct goes to Service Nova Scotia.
Email us
Email is the only way to reach us, at the address in the footer of every page. There is no phone line, no mailing address and no office; Loans Halifax is an online service with no staffed office in Halifax, Dartmouth or anywhere else, because we publish information and do not lend. For a correction, put the page address in the subject line and tell us where the right figure comes from.

Who to contact for what
Find your question on the left and take it to the office on the right.
| Your question | Where to take it |
|---|---|
| A figure, a Nova Scotia rule or a Halifax detail on this site is wrong | Us, by email. We read it against the Consumer Protection Act, the Payday Lenders Regulations and the Province's consumer guidance, fix the page and move its date. |
| The status of an application you sent | The application platform's own support, linked from the confirmation email it sent you. |
| A repayment date, a payment or a loan you already hold, payday or installment | The lender named on your agreement, which must show its contact details and its Nova Scotia permit. |
| A lender charged more than $14 per $100, refused a cancellation inside the window (the next business day, or 48 hours for an online loan), rolled a loan over, opened a second loan while one was running or charged more than $20 and 30% a year on a missed payment | Service Nova Scotia, which issues the Payday Lender Permit and takes complaints about the lenders that hold one. |
| Your rights on payday loans anywhere in Canada | The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada. |

What we cannot do
Nothing about your application passes through this site, so we cannot see it, change an offer, speed up an e-transfer, cancel a loan on your behalf or call a lender for you. We hold no banking details, so there is nothing of yours here to delete. What we can do is fix a wrong figure on these pages, explain a Nova Scotia rule in plain words and point you to the office that can act.
Corrections and updates
When the Act, the regulations or a cost cap changes, the page changes with it and its last updated date moves; the same goes for a ferry route, a transit terminal or an employer that a page names. The about page and how applying works answer most questions before they reach the inbox, and the complaints policy sets out what happens after you write.
